Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Idido: Floral Funk

Grown in the highlands of Idido, in Ethiopia’s famous Yirgacheffe region, this coffee is everything we love about Ethiopian coffees. Year after year, Yirgacheffe continues to impress us with its floral character, bright fruit notes, and incredible elegance.

 

This lot really stood out, with vibrant flavours of summer berries, candy floss, vanilla, and a beautifully floral aroma. Grown at 2,170 metres above sea level, it’s produced by smallholder farmers cultivating traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties beneath the shade of false banana trees.

 

Cup Profile

A bright, expressive cup with layers of sweet fruit and delicate florals. Expect juicy summer berries, soft vanilla sweetness, and the unmistakable floral and tea-like character Yirgacheffe is known for. The extended fermentation adds even more fruit intensity while keeping the cup clean, vibrant, and complex.
