ABOUT US
Welcome to Stay High Coffee Roasters
We’re glad you’ve found us. This is the story of how Tom & Kat turned a shared passion for coffee into Stay High Coffee Roasters.
Our Background
We met in London in 2016 and quickly bonded over our shared passion for coffee. We both dreamed of one day owning our own place, but somewhere along the way, we asked ourselves: Why not roast our own coffee?
By 2022, Tom had developed his skills as a coffee roaster, while Kat had built extensive experience in cafe management. In February 2023, we took the leap and launched Stay High Coffee Roasters, turning an idea we had talked about for years into reality.
Our Values
We believe coffee should be about more than just what’s in the cup. It should be responsibly sourced, thoughtfully produced and, ultimately, good for people and the planet.
Ethical sourcing and sustainability are at the heart of what we do. We care about where our coffee comes from and the people behind it, and we want our customers to feel connected to that story too.
That’s why we launched our Replanting Farms project in Guatemala. For every bag of our Guatemalan coffee sold, we fund the planting of two new coffee trees. It’s our way of giving something back to the communities and landscapes that make great coffee possible.
Our Approach to Roasting
We roast most of our coffees to a light to medium profile, aiming to bring out sweetness, body and a balanced acidity in the cup. We want our coffees to be approachable and versatile, performing well across a range of brewing methods, from pour-over and French press to espresso.
For our wholesale partners and white-label projects, we can also tailor the roast profile to suit specific preferences, equipment and brewing requirements.
Good Things Are Brewing
Since launching, we’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing people and take part in some great events. We’ve exhibited three times at the London Coffee Festival, working alongside our green coffee importers Unic Coffee and Muskox Colombian Coffee, as well as our friends at Wild Oats. We’ve also exhibited at Caffè Culture, another fantastic opportunity to meet fellow coffee lovers and people from across the industry.
Our coffees have also been featured by Dog & Hat, Gustatory, Just Bru and Brewed Online, helping us reach new coffee lovers across the UK.
We’re particularly proud of launching our own range of drip bags, becoming one of the early UK specialty roasters to offer them.
But, for us, the biggest achievement is much simpler: seeing customers come back to order our coffee again and again. That support means a lot to us — thank you.
We’re excited about where Stay High is heading, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey.
