A Story of Passion and Resilience
This coffee is more than just a delicious brew—it's a tribute to the incredible journey of its producer, Edinson Argote. Born into challenging circumstances, Edinson's life is a testament to hard work and an unyielding passion for coffee. After years of working various jobs and serving in the military, he discovered his calling at a coffee buying station in Huila. From there, he honed his skills at some of Colombia’s leading farms, eventually fulfilling his dream of owning his own.
Today, Edinson, along with his partner Luz Angela and their family, operates Quebraditas Coffee Farm, a place of innovation and dedication. They grow a variety of unique varietals and are committed to producing coffees with distinct and consistent flavours.
The Yellow Fruits Co-Fermentation Process
This coffee’s vibrant flavour is the result of a meticulously crafted co-fermentation process. After the cherries are harvested and cleaned, they undergo a 72-hour fermentation in a controlled environment. During this crucial stage, a special mix of yellow fruits and yeast is added. This innovative technique enhances the coffee's natural sweetness and funk, resulting in a cup that’s both complex and incredibly fun. The coffee is then mechanically dried for 42 hours at a low temperature to lock in those amazing flavours.
