Meet William Sepúlveda
High in the lush mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, William Sepúlveda cultivates coffee with the same care and dedication that has shaped his family for generations. His farm, La Viña, sits between 1,600 and 1,800 metres above sea level in Nueva Bélgica, Pueblo Bello, where cool mountain air and rich soils create the perfect environment for exceptional coffee.
William belongs to the third generation of coffee growers in his family. After the absence of his father, he worked alongside his mother from a young age to help raise his five siblings, finding not only responsibility in coffee farming, but purpose. Today, every harvest from La Viña carries decades of knowledge, resilience, and love for the land.
“La Viña is my life and my history,” William says. “It is the place where my family has cultivated dreams and coffee for decades.”
For William, coffee is more than a crop — it is a legacy. Despite the challenges that modern coffee growers face, from changing climates to fluctuating prices, his passion remains unwavering. Each cup reflects the flavour of his land and the dedication behind every step of production.
In the Cup
Expect a vibrant and juicy profile with notes of vino tinto, ripe strawberry, bright lemon acidity, and smooth caramel sweetness. “Vino tinto,” meaning red wine in Spanish, refers to the coffee’s rich wine-like character — juicy berry sweetness, layered fruit complexity, and a syrupy body reminiscent of natural red wine.
The result is a beautifully expressive cup that captures both the character of the Sierra Nevada mountains and William’s lifelong dedication to coffee.
